Gate Seal
Weigh parts across increasing hold times. The tool finds where part weight stops rising — the gate-seal point — so hold time isn't left on the table or wasted.

Enter at least two hold-time / weight points to find the seal.
How to run this study
Find the minimum hold time for the gate to freeze (seal), so part weight and dimensions stop changing. This sets the hold-time setpoint — the point beyond which more hold time adds nothing.
Procedure
- 01Set injection velocity to the optimal value from the viscosity-curve study.
- 02Set pack/hold pressure to ~75% of peak fill pressure and a very short initial hold (e.g. 0.5 s).
- 03Mold 5 shots to stabilize, then weigh the last 3 parts and record the average. Note cushion position.
- 04Increase hold time by a fixed increment (e.g. 0.5–1.0 s) and repeat.
- 05Continue through 8–12 hold times until weight plateaus — 3+ consecutive points under 0.1% weight change.
- 06Enter each hold-time/weight pair — the tool marks the seal point. Run production 0.5–1.0 s past it for margin.
